Welcome to flashfried, home of the brave and hungry.

This blog is about the weirdest, craziest, earthiest, most original and completely delicious dishes in the world. Dishes like raw fatty tuna belly, spanokopita, sliced octopus with paprika, iman byaldi, fried snails and herb butter, scallops in miso or a fresh oyster with vinegar. It’s for those who go slightly pink at the ears when discussing a particularly sweaty little spanish cheese, for those for whom the smell of freshly baked tomato bread conjoures up the memories of a first love, for those who dive straight into the ‘eating out’ section of any review they stumble across, who practice the art of selecting the best dish on a menu to the point of obsessiveness, for those who will try anything, anytime, once, and frequently return for seconds.

It is the blog for loco-foodies.

I will fearlessly report from the front-line of this gastrowar, uploading tasty tit-bits of information about some of the best meals and ingredients I can locate, in the finest establishments that serve them. I will leave no menu unturned in my search for these moreish morsels, no mouthfull uneaten, and Clare will provide the photographic evidence of my epicurean endeavours.
